there's NO excuse what so ever that an ASX listed company not inform shareholders of any problem with drilling a well.
if they receive a speeding ticket or in case please explain.
the company must make every endeavor to find out if the operator has any information that maybe influencing the share price.
there's no grey areas like "confidentiality agreement".
all directors know or should know the disclosure rules off by heart.
they should NOT sign any document/agreement which prohibits them from informing shareholders of any relevant news.
I bet my dollar should this well NOT be successful, many shareholders will write to the ASX & ASIC asking them to investigate this matter..
