I don't think it'll be any time soon. The entire app so far is set up to work with US and Canadian ID cards, which a user needs to scan using an iphone or an android phone to use the app (and a more thorough check is required for an air agent). The scanned ID card is then verified against a database with the US and Canadian authorities.
Sure this can be adapted to other regions, but I believe all the focus will be on the US for now. To implement it in Australia, they'd have to set it up with the local criminal record database, etc.
