I believe they can provide an announcement anytime they choose. It doesn't have to be by Tuesday. If later, trading in CNP shares will just be suspended.(e.g see RRL). The big question is can they keep operating if they can't pay their bills which, I believe, would be the case if a) the can't get an extension or b) if they can't find a white knight or
c) No one has has purchased sufficient of their asests to give them sufficient liquidity.

I'm not the expert so someone may correct this if it is wrong.
