Accoring to Bloomberg web site update 3:
"QBE, Australia's largest property and casualty insurer, offered the equivalent of A$4.60 a share for each Insurance Australia share, increasing the cash component to 90 cents, it said in a statement today. Insurance Australia Chairman James Strong told QBE the 6 percent higher bid still falls ``well short'' of his expectations, the release said."
Looks like they are holding out for more. But some investors do not believe QBE will increase the offer any furter and are voting with their feet.
