So what if this is one of several competing treatments. The market is huge and I hope each company involved succeeds in gaining access to the vast amount of money being pledged to fight disease in Africa.
Corruption and violence are also in the way of progress but EMS can't help there.
It is a pity, though. Africa is beautiful, rich in every kind of resource imaginble and huge. At some point the rest of the world will have to rely on it and so better efforts should be made to fix it. If half the money that is wasted on Cheney and co's war in the Middle East was spent in Africa we would be already getting somewhere.
