Although the ann was nothing really new to us, one thing that stood out like a saw thumb was the $66m sale of US assets. Very insignificant in material terms but significant in terms that the company is leisurely making these sales.

Centro's taking its time because it simply can. There is no desperate sale of assets and if they were so desperate you would've seen these assets being flogged off early on in 2008. We are now heading off towards the end of 2008 and have so far (officially) sold $66m worth of assets in the US.

For me, this was the most positive news to come from this ann. It's a different way of looking at things and I know we need to sell more assets but we need to do it on our terms and that's exactly what Centro is doing.

PS: My day trade backfired a bit but I'll survive to live another day.
