ASX Companies Announcements
Release via ASX Online
Sub-Sahara Activity
The directors regret to advise that Mr Colin Crabb, a director of the Company suddenly passed
away during the weekend.
The directors offer our sincere condolences and sympathies to his family.
Furthermore, the directors are distressed that comments have been made linking Mr Crabb’s
untimely death to the current activities of the Company. These comments are unfounded and are
to be dismissed.
Diamond drilling activity in Eritrea on both the Asmara Project (Sunridge Joint Venture) and the
Zara Joint Venture has been delayed due to the overdue arrival of the man-portable diamond drill
rig and the operator. All steps have been taken to accelerate this situation and a second multipurpose
drill rig is scheduled to be in Eritrea by the end of the year. This rig will accelerate
activity and bring exploration progress back on track.
Approximately 1000line km of a 5,000 line km geophysical EM survey has been completed and
remains on schedule. The Company expects that this survey will provide excellent data leading to
the generation of new targets and extensions to existing deposit areas.
There has been no change in the potential of the Asmara and Zara properties in Eritrea and the
Company continues to maintain its extensive interests in Tanzania.
The Company has adequate liquidity to meet its current obligations.
