I am looking at what the act states: whick is the renewal is from the date of the last expiry date. This is as I have said before what happened with Extract. The permit renewal was approved May 08 6 moths after the expiry date of the first permit and the effective date of the renewal was 03/11/2007.

If you follow this link to the list of EPL's at the Namibian Dept of Mines http://www.mme.gov.na/pdf/epl0309.pdf

and then look up EPL 3327 on page 15 of 78 you can see that Extract's permit was granted effective 03/11/2007 and expires 02/11/2009. If you look on Extract's website under press announcments this permit was approved May 08.
