I applaud the Govt for their stance. Why should we give away our natural wealth (our only wealth actually) for peanuts...the Chinese have smelt blood in the water and made an opportunistic grab...ok, that's fair enough by them...doesn't mean that we have to be so stupid as to allow it to happen.
Facts are that Australia has abundant natural wealth, in a world of ever dwindling natural resources...the Chinese may not like the fact that they will not get ours for now, but, they still iron ore for their cars and skyscrapers, they still need copper for their computers and houses....and ultimately they will have to come to us for some of it.
