peter, I think you will find there was a tidal of dissent from the general public over this and the Rio deal. Govt had to come up with a valid reason. But I do agree surely it was already known earlier. As was written many times in the paper when the deal was first announced that it was a punt if you bought in after it was announced chance of making 40% or losing 100%, however I don't think all is lost but was not willing to bought on the odds having made good money from OXR/ozl in previos years.
