So turns out they do have a smart parking application - although only for use within Rotorua and the Colmore Row area of Birmingham City Centre. I think my previous comments still stand, though, by the looks of it. Still not an app company, but maybe they took your comments on board slooi.

On a different front, from the press;

In here it also states the following;

"Information collected through the sensors is then relayed into “SmartApp”, a smartphone application which informs drivers of available parking spaces and associated parking charges. Using GPS navigation the app then guides the driver to their chosen space.
SmartApp is available to download for free on Apple IOS and Android devices"

Maybe if the council doesnt want to do it themselves they can easy add it to this platform. Sounds like all the app would be is a way of displaying data over the top of a map, so not to complicated.
