All must now agree that good announcements no longer helps the CVI SP. This trend started with the much anticipated Caplin/PWC report which failed to ignite the SP even though it predicted 40-70c per share.

Good news and announcements are now wasted on CVI, people just do not believe it anymore. Proof of this is yesterdays announcement which on any other credible stock would have sent it north straight away instead of where it is today.

The problem is that the announcements have not been good in the fundamental sense - they have continued to be clouded in future possibilities. Nothing is signed off completely - it's like trying to nail jelly to a wall.

However, the stock has so many irons in the fire - so many potential company makers - that substantial news that is fully bedded down will see this move solidly based upon institutional buying.

MS has spruiked to the instos enough that, whilst most have not been buying, it is on their radar. They will be buying if these things get nailed down in an unambiguous way - and that is what will see the share price move up and stay up.
