forget the bottom, if it flowed wouldn't make that much difference a couple of barrels a day. Usually only pump from the basement if its a massive field, with heaps of wells. As a group the wells help the oil flow to other wells around. When they fracture test the basement, the oil can under pressure in fact go away from the well. So instead of building pressure and coming back to the well, it can blow out into other areas. Thats the problem they are having.
