Appointment of Alternate Director

The Board of Thor Mining Plc ("Thor" or the "Company") (AIM, ASX: THR), is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Stephen Ronaldson as an Alternate Director of the Company, with immediate effect for a period of five business days only.
Stephen Ronaldson is the joint company secretary and will represent the Company's board of directors in person at the General Meeting on 31 October 2012 as a result of no other director being able to attend. Mr. Trevor Ireland will attend the General Meeting via telephone conference
