    Fairy old chap,
    everyone has a budget and i would suspect that the last 3 or 4 or more days lost to the core barrel has eaten up the amount set aside for the coring itself. with another well possibly in the offing, probably the cost of trying for more cores is critical since the announcement says more core is not essential.
