I agree with most of your comments. The operator in the past has taken cores for development wells and does DST;s for exploration wells. They did I recall do a DST for Growler 3 as this is when they found the good quality sands and I suppose they were keen to see how it would flow.
Similarly if they find something different I would expect them to do a DST otherwise I agree with all you mention.
