Playing devils advocate here, if they want to continue as explorers - what may end up with a proven economical diamond mine may is a divestment and shake up in the registry as part of that process, then LOM can move onto their next project.
But if indications are that they have found the source, it would be foolish to not remain connected to the mine in some manner. A lot will depend on what the Angolans want.
