Update Flinders University
First results of the graph tests in Flinders
First Graphite Limited (ASX: FGR) reports on the latest state of the art
Initial test work done by Flinders University on FGR Graphite
be performed.
The most important points
- Successful production of graphs in multiple layers using
The Turbo Thin Film (TTF) technology.
- Production of graph nanostructures / tubes.
- FGR graphing, VFD and TTF are all salesable single-step
Procedures that complement each other.
Graph update
FGR reports on the latest state of the initial test work
According to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Flinders
University for the application of Vortex Fluidic Device
(VFD) and Turbo Thin Film (TTF).
The first results of the Turbo Thin Film Device, when using FGR-
Graphite in water, show the successful production of some graphene layers
As well as needle structures in nanoscale (tubes) similar to carbon
Nanotubes (carbon nanotubes) could be constructed.
Although these are only preliminary results, the TTF device is
Promising, high-quality graphs in several layers from FGR-
To produce graphite material and also to produce nanoparticles which
May be useful in certain procedures.
FGR works closely with Flinders and expects further results from
VFD in near future. The expected benefits of VFD technology in
Connection to FGR's exfoliation procedures are:
- All procedures use green technologies for the production of
High-quality graph, consequently, defects in nanomaterials
Without altering chemically or physically.
- All procedures are single-stage, cost-effective and can
Class high-quality products at low prices.
All procedures are scalable and will complement each other
Nanomaterial with precise control of the physical properties
Including length and chirality.

Managing Director Craig McGuckin said, "The first results of thin-
Film technology are very encouraging and although only in the initial stage of the
Development, so we believe that Turbo Thin Film and Vortex Fluid Device
The efficiency of the successfully put into operation
Main graph production in order to improve the graph products
Customer requirements.
About First Graphite Ltd. (ASX: FGR)
First Graphite aims at the development of a mining mine
High-grade crystalline ganggraphite, unique in Sri Lanka
Occurs. Since company owns the exclusive rights for
Exploration licenses, covering approximately 39,500 acres with
Historical digging traces within the entire license grid.
About graphs
Graphs, the sufficiently publicized and now famous two-dimensional
Carbon allotrope is as versatile as any other material
Discovered on earth. Its amazing features as that
Lightest and strongest material versus its ability heat and electricity
Better than any other material to guide it into one
Huge number of applications can be integrated. Initially means
That graphs improve performance and efficiency more up-to-date
Materials and substances, but in the future it will
Also developed in conjunction with other two-dimensional crystals
To create some even more amazing connections that are in a
Even broader application spectrum.
A research area, which is very intensively studied, is the
Energy storage. At present, scientists are working on improvement
Of the storage capacities of lithium-ion batteries (by inserting
Graphs as an anode) to provide much larger storage capacities with much
Longer service life and charging times. The graph will also be
Studied and developed in the manufacture of supercapacitors
Application that can be charged very quickly and
Can also store a large amount of current.
Texture of the ganggraphite
The graphite deposition model for Sri Lanka is best viewed from below
Described above: In the metamorphic sediments, stretching cracks were formed
By the folding of the sediments. This led to the training of
Conveying channels for hydrothermal deposition of qualitatively very high
High quality gear. Through the dismantling in the past is known,
That the thickness and the quality degree of these corridors with the depth
Increase. The graphite veins generally fall steeply at -70 degrees to
Almost vertically. This allows the degradation in the gangway construction process,
Similar to the process used in the degradation of high-grade gold deposits
Is used. The generally used method is
Firstenbau, whereby the high grade ganggraphite degraded and without
Contamination is transported to the surface. The graphite band, the
Contact to the adjacent deaf rock, is applied to the surface
Transported to the stockpile for enrichment. The rest
Overburden is used to fill the stump.
Due to the type of the ganggraphite, gauges of about 25 cm
Expected to be economically viable by the application of the
Underground mining.
