re: bhp Hi seals, agreed - my comment was more around that BHP had a 149% earnings increase in the base metals division - way above everything else - yet has very little in the pipeline as "new" (ie non factored) projects. Perhaps they might look at acquisition? Who knows,
you are right however, olympic dam is mammoth.. 700 or so MT of 1.5% copper - expansion of projects like these is huge - but wouldnt they be factored in already?
