That's a very interesting point, WesTig. I grew up beside the sea but never realised that distinction. I always considered the tide to be made up of waves, big or small but obviously not.
CCE are focused on waves. They did a lot of research on predicting wave movements using AI technology in partnership with HP. Not sure whatever came of it as they don't publish anything. Sounds about as easy as herding cats.
