He resigned from the BoD, so being disgruntled about the change couldn't be the reason for turning on the company if it is indeed him. It shouldn't be too difficult to identify the snitch based on what I presume is a very limited distribution list for these types of emails and they will be able to trace to and by whom it may have been subsequently forwarded.
