Been watching MST for many a year now and even had some for a while (lost on all my MST dabbling's!).

The tech is superior because it is electric, there is no mechanics to jam and very little in terms of moving parts (the trigger and of course the ordinance) - which should make the gun more reliable. Add to this, the reloading advantages and the versatility in configurations, etc., and you have a weapon that is light and packs tremendous punch.

Of course, I don't like the fact that these are guns, etc. but there are other uses - like the fire retardant delivery application and the "smart" pistol (that only allows its owner to fire the weapon), but these are not the subject - what people do with the technology is up to them.

The point that has been many years to even get to this point everyone knows. I have suggested a conspiracy around why so long, however it would seem no-one wants to be first and getting the US military to OK the technology should not be a surprise - I heard a line once that the US army was still using mules and that was supposed to be in the 1940's. (Yes, horsed for coursed or mules in this case!).

BTW, people make all sorts of promises and don't follow through and companies are no different - in this case the coy providing the funds is saying the bank is holding things up. I guess we will see soon enough.

PS: Another poster asked about the funds MST would need to go to production, well the answer is yes, MST will probably need lots more money, but provided there were solid and significant orders, getting the additional money would not be a problem (IMO of course!).
