There are very powerful lobbyers that push major purchasing power the way they want it often what is seen to the majority as the better technology will get brushed aside EOS is a first rate example (not the dawn goddess, Electro Optical Systems) another example is CWE.
No matter how good a product is without the right lobby group pushing it, it’s not going anywhere in the circles of the military or the halls of Government. It’s possible that the right way to go would be to sell a large portion of the company to a major arms dealer in order to gain “market acceptance” who knows?
The fact remains that we may well be facing Voluntary Administration. This in itself may well be the trigger event needed to default the IP to another party, I don’t know as I don’t have the documentation in front of me that explains for certain former deals covenants.
As others have voiced I find it inexplicable that our government have not stepped in to protect this technology if only to guarantee that our Australian Sons and Daughters who must go to war at the signature of their government, would have the best of the best fighting weapons. The sickening day may come when we may face an enemy with these weapons.
But guns don’t buy votes (not in this country) free cash hand outs do. And there is little we can do except wait and see and hope. I for one believe in the company and I am enamored with the technology. And I’m thankful to the men and women of MST who have worked so hard to get us to where we are today, At the very pinnacle of weapons development I have had the pleasure of speaking with a couple of the techs who have worked tirelessly on projects and I am in awe of your dedication
I for one will be staying the course. And good luck to all holders whether they have opted to stay or leave it’s been a long road for all involved.
