Hi Barry,
Being a relative newbie to HC my knowledge of CVI is rather limited. However, it is always brought up whenever there is someone crowing about poor management.
123 and Raks were burned by what were empty promises from management as far as im aware. Once they learnt that things werent as they seemed they tried to warn others (or so I gather). They know the story much better than me, but I believe in simple terms it was (and seemingly is according to current threads on the CVI wall) a company that promised the world but did not deliver thanks to poor management. Just looking at their archive of announcements and they've had more emergency general meetings this year than any other company ive ever known. The changes to the board + management team have also come thick and fast.
Now what does it have to do with GGG? Nothing really.
It's nothing more than an analogy. GGG are not CVI but what people are trying to say is: BE CAREFUL. Think 123 and Raks are merely trying to advise that they have seen similar things before go pear shaped (thats not saying they will). People are entitled to voice opinions on stocks they dont own but I feel they should at least be reasonable in their judgments and some on this thread are not. However, 123 has certainly been helpful with his article input and court updates. And Brizee's post was certainly interesting.
As I say, I am with you Barry in that I want this to succeed as we need rare earths but like Profess I jumped because there were too many concerns. I had not the need nor desire to take the risk (the reward of course could be fantastic).
Would like Rod or Miles to clear a few things up with an announcement or response on HC given recent bad press. It is not all it appears as there are clearly people out there wanting GGG to fail (see: the number of one-time posters on this thread who run away as soon as I say 'westrip'). But by leaving the accusations hang in the air, GGG is only making it seem like there are reasons to believe some of what is being bandied about. Then again maybe they are just waiting for a conclusion to the court proceedings before re-entering discussions.
Anyway, good luck holders! Even if the SP isn't surging, at least you've got the most intriguing thread on HC IMO...
