As far as I know the problem for some people arose from the fact that they over committed themselves financially. Never ever invest more than you can afford to lose, no matter if it is a spec or blue chip.
Maybe my pro GGG stance stems from that fact. I have been lucky in most cases, lost some, won some but in the end I have not done too badly and was shocked by raks' first post after his personal disaster.
