another boatload of queue jumpers, page-2

A close friend used to do aerial patrols scouting for refugee boats across the top of Australia and prior to this was the first to suggest they should be sent straight back - but after the first week advised that when he saw the condition of the boats and the people on board he had nothing but sympathy for them.

Having never been in a position where I have felt forced to consider fleeing my country I have trouble empathising but can nevertheless sympathise.

Not agreeing that it should be so hard for your girlfriend to gain residency - however recent history to gain refugee status suggests this method is no walk in the park either. WOuld hate to return to the dark days of now proven manufactured 'children overboard' scenarios to whip up unjustified public outrage.
