Its a worthwhile debate.
Like Satys, I snuck in a free uni degree ... mine in engineering.
I have gone on to create 100's of jobs and currently employ about 80 ... we do worthwhile work in the active economy.
My wife ditto in medicine ... 2.5 decades as a GP and now a shifted focus into medical education.
We work hard and struggle to find time for the occasional week's break together.
We also bought a first home and had all our children whilst in our 20's.
I am sure we are not atypical beneficiaries of that free uni era.
My thesis is that debt laden current graduates will be well into their 30's before thay can do what we did ... and how is that good for the country?
