A leading broker has retained a "buy" on Beach Petroleum following its quarterly report, saying production was a record, but Delhi hedging has hurt the revenue result. The broker has reduced full year 2007 earnings by 15 pct to account for lower reported revenue and assumed slower ramp up of the Basker Manta project. Forecasts beyond full year 2007 are unchanged The broker is forecasting an adjusted NPAT of $15.5 million, up 30 pct, when the company reports its first half earnings on February 28.
