Actually, I'm confident Netflix will make a much greater contribution to the Australian economy than Quickflix ever has or will. They will end up employing more staff and spending more on advertising than Quickflix, so that's real money that will be circulating in the economy. Profits will go offshore but Quickflix has never made any money for anyone but its directors and staff and is as far away from profit as ever. Plus Netflix won't be destroying Australian shareholder's wealth the way QFX has. And anyway, if Australian owned is the most important thing to you, you'll still have Stan, which will have better content and, unlike QFX, will still exist in a year
