    Omeara29,
There has certainly not been an increase in global wild fire areas in the article`s time frame to 2019 as satellites proved as opposed to what brainwashed climate changers always proclaim.
25% is enormously significant and suggests that vastly increasing CO2 has had no effect on wildfires as greens state unequivocally.

I notice you have not effectively debated or rebutted that global fires have decreased in area but slid onto another minor side argument as climate changers do .

"One of the most interesting things researchers have discovered since MODIS began collecting measurements, noted Randerson, is a decrease in the total number of square kilometers burned each year. Between 2003 and 2019, that number has dropped by roughly 25 percent".

“There are really two separate trends,” said Randerson. “Even as the global burned area number has declined because of what is happening in savannas, we are seeing a significant increase in the intensity and reach of fires in the western United States because of climate change.”

In the western US there may have been an increase in fire intensity predominantly caused by arson, neglect of Californian transmission lines(see below) and failure to back burn for 60 years or more with vastly increased fuel loads.

Pacific Gas & Electric Co. power lines have caused more than 1,500 California wildfires in the past six years, including the deadliest blaze in the state's history. Many critics, including Gov. Gavin Newsom, have accused PG&E of prioritizing profits over safety measures for decades.Nov 3, 2019.

After Australia`s forced "back burning " in 2019 fires caused by Green`s resistance to aboriginal type preventive burning one can be sure with lower fire loads that this Australian fire season will be much less severe than last.
