Just to give people out there an idea of the type of companies that Mike Fitzpatrick (through his investment company Log Creek) has big stakes in -
Check out Hastings High Yield Fund (HHY)
It just announced a full year profit of over $11 million dollars. Log Creek owns 2,500,000 shares and 2.79% of the company. There are only 29 million shares on issue and the market cap is $58 million ie its a $2 stock
Of course Log Creek is major shareholder of HGR, and is owned by Mike Fitzpatrick
He is also a Director and the Chairman of Treasury Group (TRG) ($18 million profit in last financial year and 14.5 billion Funds under management)
He owns 2,651,000 shares in TRG valued today at $39,765,000. He is second highest shareholder in TRG
Several years ago TRG's share price was 35 cents and is now $15
Mike Fitzpatrick only backs winners - thats why he is an Oxford Scholar- they don't give those things to mugs, only the best of the best
By the way, he's the guy who presented Jimmy Bartel with the Brownlow, and 'caught' the premiership cup form the gymnast at the Grand Final on saturday in his role as AFL commisioner - in case some of you out there dont know who he is or what he looks like - oh yeah and he's worth about $300 mill - good bloke to have as your major shareholder of HGR at 15%. Very smart businessman
Don't come crying in a few years saying you should have seen the signs regarding Fitzpatrick being involved in HGR ast the beginning, cause in a few years time HGR will be making profits in the 10's of millions and have a share price of $2 plus
What more of an indication of future success for HGR do you need?
HGR
