there has been a general market thematic to sell off anything that is vaguely related to the consumer.
it is in part justified, although these things are almost always overdone.
there will be some screamingly good buys over the next few months (for investors) - stick to stuff with clean balance sheets.
i can remember approx 3 years ago when SMS was on single digit PE and high single digit yield - every broker had a 'SELL' on it. was 4.80 at the time.
the same goes for quality consumer/industrial stocks these days.
