That would be true if the firm in particular was shifting away from equities into income exposure.
Not that I think this is the case this time, but it is possible.
The size and scale of the selling is disproportionate to the size of the note holders in my opinion.
There are some high wealth individuals who use aggressive overseas investment firms who orchestrate such occasions as potentially occurred this morning.
The old adage 'it takes money to make money' is true in this case, unfortunately tools/data like shortman are not always helpful if the exposure is through back channeled derivatives.
