You have to register them with a broker. Interactive Brokers (i think someone has mentioned previously) will register your shares when you set up an account and there are other providers too. Unfortunately means setting up new professional account aside from your aussie one, monthly fees etc. Shouldn't really stick E&P stocks in your drawer, too volatile.
