So they would be risking investigation, fines, possible loss of ability to operate and their professional careers why exactly?

Come on theon, I see blatant lies in announcements every day with no retribution from the toothless tiger authority. Not saying management are lying by the way, I am sure they're just as disappointed as everyone else that drilling is being delayed. It would have been nice however to be in on the inside to be able to sell prior to the announcement and buy again on the drop as obviously some have been able to do (explaining the lack of decent shareprice appreciation and volumne leading up to what was supposed to have been commencement of drilling).

Shareprice action almost always tells the true story :-)
