It's only a lie if they KNOW that something is not going to happen when they say it will.
It's just an incorrect estimate if they expect something will happen in good faith and then it doesn't because of unforeseen circumstances.
I am of the view that they are trying to keep us informed but that sometimes, things just don't always go according to plan.
