Another demerger. Coal of assets next.

    Reported on The Australian, Paul McTaggart from the broker Citi has suggested there could be benefits to BHP splitting off its coal business from the other commodities.One of the main reasons for this suggestion is that metallurgical coal is a mature businesses that may not have much growth ahead of them. It will also strengthen BHPs ECG (Environment for the Common Good) investor tailwind which is seen in the SP tailwind.

    Speculation I know with a hint of truth perhaps...
