    I'll add to that list, surf at netted beaches.

    Even though they don't cover the entire coastline, it's the angle they are set up on that stop troublesome sharks that are feeding.

    Sharks that are looking for food come into shallow water on a different angle than those harmlessly passing through, so shark nets are very effective at moving along sharks with bad intentions.

    I don't think there's ever been a fatality at a netted beach.

    Yet.
