"Booz as for land - I have vested interests, but I believe a renaissance of rural Australia is coming and that future population growth will be in regional areas master planned to cope with it and affordable to the low to middle working class. Our future industries won't need 70 floor inner city towers, but they will need room to grow, and technology will support that shift."

I disagree. From a sociocultural perspective, Australians have an intrinsic love affair with the coast. Thus moving forward, we will continue to bid up the price of property where 85% of us already live-within 50kms of the coast.

There will be renewed interest in agribusiness (3 billion wealthy Asians need to be fed)but that does not require a massive workforce so the growth in the agricultural industry will not be accompanied by high levels of population growth in rural Australia.
