    Not really getting involved in this matter any further.

    The Kid involved has since found out that the employer has a history of this sort of behaviour but since the new IR laws people like this seem to think they have a green light to continue this way.

    It just demonstrated the point that I have made alll along regarding the laws - there is no arguement that changes needed to be made but instead of increasing protection for employers and maintaining a good level of protection for employees they have swung the balance from one extreme to the other.

    there are some lazy good for nothing workers who should not be protected by out of balance IR laws

    But as this case demonstrates there are also soom employers who are only to willing to rip off employees when ever they can.

    the law needs to protect both parties EQUALLY

    As for the kid in this particular case involved she has thrown in the job and taken another job down the road at a fast food place - the benefit of being a hight demand for workers a demand that is not always going to exist.
