What most saddens me is the fact that the IR law changes will simply hasten the Americanisation of Australia .... where you can have 2 jobs and still not be able to afford basic medical treatment.
Here you are poor,if you are on welfare ... in the US there is a whole "class" people who are working, and still very poor.
Go on a holiday to the US and meet the people .... live there for a while and meet the real people ... like a friend who had to re-enlist in the army simply to be able to afford for his pregnant wife to have a child ... he was given no other choice apart from turning to crime, or letting his wife give birth on the sofa, with no medcal support. .... Sadly this is a true story, and not uncommon.
