Thanks Mohawk it was a pretty dumb question. I do have an international trading account with etrade and they have access to 10 international exchanges, but they don't have NZ shares and no plans to add. It's nice and easy to use as I have bought Zillow shares on the Nasdaq a while back. Also an account with Westpac Broking which does have NZ share access, but they are a pain as they require a NZ $ account to be set up as well.
Thanks for the info on the different exchanges in NZ too. I guess that if I do find a broker willing to trade NZ shares that it will need to be more than just the NZX. In this day and age of technology this shouldn't be so slow and cumbersome.
