@Verminski; we were supposed to learn from Vietnam that our defence forces need to know what they are fighting for and who and what is is they're fighting. It sure as Hell is neither democracy or freedom.
But yet again Australia volunteered to declare war throughout the Middle East on the back of terrible and reprehensible lies, misinformation and warmongering spin. This time it was the warmongers' Holy Crusade - a religious war in a region about which our political and defence leaders are absolutely totally bloody clueless.
Saddam Hussein even warned the world's warmongers of the consequences of illegally invading Iraq but they took no notice and the entire Middle East degenerated into Hell on Earth.
Yet again our defence forces became involved in a never-ending multi-decade war that's even traumatised our troops and even seen many of them take their own lives to the eternal grief of their families and friends.
