Just to labour the point a bit more, here is one the best summaries of the current situation with geothermal that I've seen recently (from http://www.investorideas.com/news/2014/renewable-energy/08271.asp).
I'm a bit surprised PTR doesn't appear to want to follow GDY and progress it's international projects. You'd think they'd want to build on their current expertise and investor base, develop overseas income streams, and be ready to re-start their Australian operations when conditions improve.
