    There are already amyloid imaging agents that detect amyloid in living patients.

    Google "Pittsburgh Compound B" or PIB, a thioflavin analogue....being used at the Austin PET Centre in Melbourne as we speak, and has been so for about 5 years. This "new" agent is a "me too" compound.
