There was a terminology called "security lending agreement"
Does it make this officialy "short stocks" ?
sorry for the dumb question, but holding DML shares, I hope you are more undertanding of my ignorance of the pitfalls in share trade.
My other view also is that, short stocks are need for "big boys" to accumulate shares.
A good example is SDL, few days ago, there was a massive drop and it was followed by the good news of interested party.
This is how the game is played. They flush your cards out and take everything on the table (yeah, including your garments (over and under!)..
