Anyone looking to be "saved" by anything is in my opinion, foolish. Unless you're being sarcastic, but that's not your style, nzmicro.
If you didn't expect dusters down this end of the O&G spectrum, well, you've learnt the hard way. Again, multiple, small percentage plays will have some advantages over other overweight plans, like VIL. Yeah, acquiring Pass has diversified their drills a little, but not a long termer for me. Trade it when the volume breakout is there imo.
Don't get me wrong, I realise GGP has fallen consistently since Moses was a boy. If you don't need to free up your capital in GGP/O to take advantage of hot stocks, put this aside, don't watch it too often.
