Then a curveball seemingly out of nowhere... In NON of the announcements was it indicated they were looking to expand overseas. To specifically exclude this serious acquisition from shareholder approval was a red flag for me.

Just quick comment that ASX is not a "MAKE A WISH" institution where the company decides whom to involve... Governance is sometimes tough to accept, but ASX is all about that... you pay lawyers to write up the deal and ASX will ASSESS and DECIDE whether certain listing rules apply or not... EQ complied with that process - red flag?
