Breast was taken back from EL and is completely in-house. They learnt from the Smith and Nephew hold on bone filler that has gone nowhere. That mistake predates DW and, as the breast ended partnership shows, they will only go forward with a deal if there’s an out when the partner turns out to be not as committed as the company wants. Partnerships shouldn’t be ruled out but must be entered into with eyes wide open and an out clause to hand.
