Another piece of iron ore 'jigsaw' falls into place
23 Jun, 2011 11:06 AM
An iron ore export terminal in Port Pirie is another step closer after the buying of a block of land by WPG Resources.
The company exchanged contracts with the Land Management Corporation for the sale of the land.
The property is the old Shell depot, in George Street.
The company said it had paid a deposit and settlement would take place when the development application was approved.
The company was expected to pay about $1 million for the land.
Executive chairman Bob Duffin said he expected the development application to be approved early next month.
